Hoşgeldiniz! Welcome to Bodrum!

Bodrum is a beautiful port city in the Aegean Sea, where the waters are clear and warm, the charming whitewashed houses in the villages are covered in colourful bougainvillea, the food is delicious, and the people are friendly and hospitable! Once well known for being the home of the Mausoleum of Mausolus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, Bodrum today is well known as an international centre of yachting and tourism with plenty of Bodrum Hotels to ensure guests a comfortable stay!

The charms are endless - miles of golden sand stretching under sunny skies are a hallmark of Bodrum's beaches!

A port town in the Muğla Province of Turkey, Bodrum is well known for its excellent beaches, first-rate Bodrum resorts, and the wide choice of water sports available. Historically, Bodrum or Halicarnassos, as it was known in ancient times, has always been battled over. Nobody has willingly shared the beauty of this port town with others. Homer described Bodrum as "The land of eternal blue", while Cevat Şakir, another resident of the town said, "The heavenly bliss of life in Bodrum is better than any eternal bliss that may await us". A visit will make you realize the truth of these words while staying in a relaxing Bodrum hotel.
Taking a Bodrum tour is a great way to see the number of Bodrum highlights, including old historic buildings in the town, two well-known examples being the now-restored Roman amphitheatre, and the Castle of St. Peter from the Middle Ages. The castle was constructed by the Knights of St. John from Rhodes and has been turned into a museum today. Staying in one of the many hotels in Bodrum near the centre is a great way to be close to many of the things to see and do in Bodrum.
Among all the ports in the south Aegean Sea, Bodrum is considered to be the most delightful!
A popular spot to visit after a night of dancing and drinking is the steaming Turkish baths. And if you are curious about how the ancient Romans lived, visit the nearby town of Ephesus. After Pompeii, it is in Ephesus that you will see the best preserved examples of Roman lifestyle. Ephesus offers endless shopping opportunities as well. Take a look at our Bodrum map for all of the best places to stay during your holiday in Bodrum.
Besides the excellent Bodrum weather, it is also a shopper's paradise! A bustling town with many shops and markets, bargaining and shopping in Bodrum is almost a sport among tourists! There are many markets, bazaars, roadside stalls, and shops are usually open till quite late in the evening. Some are open up to midnight.
Sellers are very proactive and usually offer attractive bargains. Remember that bargaining is the norm here and the first quoted price is always high. Carpets, leather goods, and gold and silver jewellery are popular buys here. Another must-buy are the blue glass beads for protection from the evil eye!
The town's nightlife is not for party seekers alone; there are many options for those seeking a quiet and romantic evening too. Waterfront dining in one of the many Bodrum restaurants is another popular way to wind up the evening. The range of food available in Bodrum is endless. Pamper your taste buds in the many pavement cafes and restaurants that offer international cuisine as well.
Traditional Turkish fare is delicious and restaurants offer kebabs, stuffed peppers, vine leaves, the popular olive and tomato salads, and of course feta cheese. Rice-based dishes are popular too. Raki is the aniseed flavoured national drink of Turkey. Coffee houses are an integral part of Turkish life and every town and village has one. This is where men meet to drink coffee, enjoy a smoke, and discuss global issues.
The Turkish people are friendly, but quite formal. There are certain accepted rules regarding public behaviour that should be followed by visitors during a Bodrum holiday. Pointing with your finger, or sitting with the sole of your foot pointing at or facing someone, is considered rude. Wear modest clothing and remove your shoes before entering a mosque. Women in Turkey are expected to have their hair covered.
We are a local team and offer an excellent range of accommodations and resorts in Bodrum. Be sure to check out our Bodrum hotels online booking page!
